Job Description

Would you like to join Fortune 7 CVS Health and our dynamic Learning & Development team? As a Learning & Development (L&D) Advisor you will be responsible for creating and developing training strategies and solutions by partnering with business units (individual contributor through executive) across the enterprise. You are responsible for supporting complex enterprise initiatives by collaborating with multiple partners (e.g., legal, Ops, Merchandising, Regulatory, Compliance etc.) to define and implement training strategies, including design, development, implementation and evaluation plans.

You will partner with our CVS Health Retail partners, collaborating with various business units to deliver learning solutions for a variety of lines of business. You will help to effectively diagnose business challenges and identify learning needs. You will collect and synthesize information quickly from many diverse sources, both qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate and/or inform learning strategies.

This position will be located in Woonsocket, RI.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• You will create presentations of learning strategies that tell a compelling story around ‘why’ the approach is recommended to facilitate comprehension and alignment at all levels of the organization.

• You will craft evaluation strategies to support learning strategies to effectively measure the impact of learning plans on engagement, knowledge/skill, behavior, and business results (Kirkpatrick Levels 1-4).

• You will design and develop individual training solutions in the most learner-centric modality for the environment, including web-based, webinars, classroom, job aids, self-paced guides, and videos.

• You will lead the training design process, including: meeting the project budget, designing and managing the project plan, scoping and mitigating risk, interfacing with the clients (contributor to executive) to ensure quality standards are met.

• You will oversee ongoing learning programs by continuously scanning the business landscape for changes that impact the curriculum and integrate new initiatives into the programs.

Required Qualifications

• You have been in an L&D role for at least 5 years and have experience with adult learning theory or adult education practices, the ADDIE model, and instructional design.

• You have the ability to travel up to 5% of the time, as needed, per business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• You have 8+ years of experience.

• You have healthcare experience.

• You have retail industry experience.

• You have experience working with Captivate, Articulate, Story Line, Camtasia and Microsoft PowerPoint.

• You have project management experience.

• You can influence others.

• You think strategically about learning solutions and related business challenges.

• You are a solid communicator, with both written and verbal communication.

• You are a strong collaborator, particularly in times where speed and accuracy are essential.

• You can adapt and react quickly to problems and quickly identify and implement resolutions.

• You have strong organizational and time management skills.


• Bachelor's Degree required.
