Role Summary:

As a member of the Global Ops Customs North America team, the Monitoring Analyst will be a member of the Monitoring team reporting directly to the North American Monitoring Leader. Primary responsibility will be to conduct audits, perform analytics/reporting, and will work with the businesses to communicate and implement corrective actions and establish controls to support compliance to the Customs Enterprise Standard and local regulations.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Execute internal audit and transactional testing (W-2-W, Post-Entry, ISA, etc.) in accordance with US and Canada Customs regulations, the internal Global Operations Audit standards, and adherence to the Enterprise Standard.

  • Drive corrective actions and improvements for compliance and efficiency within the Global Ops Customs team based on audit findings

  • Communicate with businesses to implement controls or correct as needed based on audit results

  • Provide input to the W2W site audits specific to the North America region – identifying risks, educating regional post-entry and W-2-W monitors on what to test and ensuring corrective actions are taken as needed

  • Support Global Ops Customs and businesses in determining regulatory requirements specific to the program(s)

  • Escalate and follow-up on audit findings requiring post declaration changes to government where necessary

  • Consolidate and report audit data for Operational Metric Management with reporting to Regional Lead.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 4 year College Degree from an accredited university or In-country Professional Customs Certification/Accreditation or high school diploma or equivalent plus a minimum 7 years of relevant experience

  • Minimum 3 years of audit experience and/or experience in Customs processes.

  • Experience with process automation, using RPA, IPA, or VBA
