Oracle Food and Beverage Implementation Manager in Memphis, Tennessee

An entry-level management position responsible for supervising a team of Implementation Consultants ensuring quality work at customer sites. Has a broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or industry technology products. Monitors Implementation Consultant activities and performance on projects. May serve as project advisor for moderately complex engagements.

Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations. May participate in sales proposals in a pre-sales capacity. May assist with end-user training and take the establishment live on the system after everything has been configured and everyone is trained. Provides coaching, guidance and feedback to develop skills of team members. Typically manages individual contributors. Demonstrates multiple business processes expertise within one product family. Ensures that operational policies are followed and that business objectives are achieved by focusing on best practices and process improvements

Four year degree preferred and 5 years of experience relevant to this position including 2 years Implementation Consulting experience preferred. Deep knowledge of Implementation Consultant role. Product or technical expertise relevant to area of focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.

Job Description

  • Manages Oracle POS implementation associates as they deploy our Oracle Products for clients in the Hospitality industry

  • Acts as the point of contact for customers and internal resources on assigned projects

  • Ensures customers successfully migrate to the Oracle POSsolution in the most optimal way, with an effective transition to support upon project closure

  • Oversees the scope during the course of the project and work collaboratively with sales, and other manager to assist and adjust scope where necessary ensuring adherence to established project change management process

  • Owns project financials; owns data quality and accuracy in financial reporting for your team.

  • Control and review all travel requirements and expenses, ensuring alignment to project budgets

  • Accurately forecasts and manages team budget and provides weekly/monthly financial reporting for projects up to leadership.

  • Handles and Controls customer escalations as required

  • Ensures execution of Oracle project management process by the project management team

  • Monitors project health continuously and engages Director as required if project health changes

  • Ensures risks and issues are being managed and mitigated during project planning phases, aligns decisions to Oracle s risk profile

  • Provides direction and support to the implementation team and review required deliverables

  • Manage major accounts for the Food and Beverage Global Business Unit(FBGBU)

  • Ability to plan and manage major or large scale and complex system projects through all phases of the project life cycle

  • Proven business acumen; strategic thinking, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Proven interpersonal and relationship management skills

  • Proven ability to present and meet with C level customers

  • Able to address steering committee review boards

  • Proven ability to deliver results in an environment where resources are shared across multiple competing groups

Qualifications

  • Hospitality industry experience in a management capacity

  • 3 years of professional experience as a Manager in a client / customer facing role

  • Oracle POS (MICROS 3700/8700/9700/e7/Simphony) an Cloud experience experience desired

  • Bachelor s Degree or equivalent experience

  • MS Project or similar product used to track project status

  • People Management skills highly desired

  • Full life cycle project management experience

  • Highly organized with excellent time management

  • Deadline driven, results oriented

  • Able to prioritize multiple requests and action accordingly
