The Role

This External Wholesaler, MongyGuard develops, directs, implements, and maintains a business plan to achieve sales and growth goals for his/her assigned external wholesale area(s) of responsibility. S/he will build, enhance and direct the relationship with wirehouse/regional firms and/or institutions in his/her assigned territory which is KS, NE, OK, and Kansas City. S/he will also build, direct and maintain external wholesale sales programs/plans which result in an increase in sales revenue and market share within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Builds and directs a more complex relationship platform by identifying senior contacts within targeted firms to achieve profitable sales and Lincoln's product breath growth.

  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders on proposals and distribution of relevant marketing materials for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.

  • Conducts firm/institution meetings and in-person meetings to achieve sales targets. (e.g. due diligence meetings, one-on-one meetings, sponsorship and speaking opportunities).

  • Cultivates, directs, and maintains increasingly senior level client relationships within assigned territorys firms/institution.

  • Develops a comprehensive understanding of existing/targeted firms/institutions including targeted market segments, how they operate, and/or value proposition(s) and is known by them.

  • Develops and maintains a more complex sales program to increase sales revenue and market share within assigned area of responsibility.

  • Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders. to achieve sales objectives.

  • Develops, directs, and executes more complex plans to increase/gain opportunities to introduce Lincoln management and other resources to targeted firms/institutions.

  • Identifies and communicates any potential conflicts regarding Lincoln's products/services.

  • Increases penetration in territory of by optimizing and growing relationships within existing more complex firms/institutions.

  • Increases/gains awareness of Lincoln's products and services with more complex firms and/or institutions within his/her assigned territory.

  • Maintains sales call data in appropriate systems and/or complete sales reports.

  • Meets or exceeds all department and/or sales goals/targets for his/her assigned territory.

  • Utilizes expense budgets to set limits and maximize sales opportunities within his/her assigned territory.

  • Works effectively to support growth in all segments of Lincoln's products/service offerings to maximize and capitalize on the opportunities to cross sell and penetrate assigned firms/institutions.

  • Adhere to LFD’s Culture of Compliance. Comply with LFD’s policies and procedures.

Education & Experience

  • 3 - 5+ Years experience in external wholesale that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position(Required)

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)in (Minimum Required)

Certifications

  • Upon Hire Certifications/Licensures : Dependent upon Product Being Sold.

  • Travel Type : National Domestic

  • Travel Amount : 50-100%
