Job Description:

Perform radiologic procedures (including taking routine dental films) for the College of Dentistry (COD) including undergraduated, graduates, residents, and faculty; participates in all clinical activities under the supervision of the Clinic Manager

Operate and maintains newly acquired Kodak 9000 cone beam CT; duties include scanning patients requiring a hi-resolution limited field of view, maintaining patient database, managing all patient data for reporting and archiving, maintaining HIPPA standards, interacting with vendor for online upgrades and troubleshooting, and collecting/distributing all reported CTs and CDs to the appropriated departments and doctors

Clinic IT Liaison; provides hardware and software troubleshooting and IT department communication for all imaging equipment and software

Assist, instruct, and monitor all students during their radiology procedures, including the use of proper radiation hygiene and barrier techniques

Perform start-up/shut-down procedures for equipment in AM and PM as assigned by Clinic Manager/Supervisor

Assist co-workers, students, faculty when requested

Advertised Salary:

$14.00 - $17.12 per hour

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent, one year of appropriate experience (appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience), and qualified in dental radiography pursuant to Rule 64B5-9.011, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.).

Preferred Qualifications:

State of Florida Certification in Dental Radiology, and basic knowledge of computers

RT certification, CDA, or hygiene certification highly desirable

Position requires patient interaction including moving patients in hospital gurneys and wheelchairs
