Staples Project Manager, Staples Promotional Activity in Framingham, Massachusetts
The Project Manager of Promotional Activity is responsible for ensuring performance hurdles and deadlines are met to produce effective newspaper circulars, catalogs, and online promotions.
You will influence promotional activity across Staples brick and mortar, e-commerce, and B2B channels using data science and analytics to drive decision making. This is an opportunity to have a large impact; in the last 12 months, this team has delivered $30M profit improvement and is a critical element to Staples’ strategy.
To be successful, you will need to effectively identify insights from data and influence action in the organization to deliver improved sales and margin results from promotional activity.
This role requires strong project management skills, collaboration, and data analysis and insights. You will be expected to improve the status quo by recommending opportunities for streamlining and improving business decisions through fact-based data analysis.
Impact on Business
Project manage execution of promotions includingdata processing, working with cross functional partners, and ensuring deadlinesare met.
Execute the existing process but recommend androll-out streamlining opportunities.
Deliver business performance improvement througheffective planning and coordination across Merchandising, Marketing, andInventory.

Recommend new approaches for process frombeginning to end.
Change approach to promotional activity toimprove business results.
- Regular meetings with peers and more senior teammembers to influence their behavior to benefit promotional performance

Education/Experience Equivalent (minimum requirements)
- Bachelors degree, Masters preferred
- 2 to 4 yrs work experience
Strong organizational/project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
Works effectively with cross functional partners with competing interests
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Prior retail or ecommerce experience preferred
