Job Summary

This newly created position will be responsible for the online presence and experience for users interfacing with the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne. As our Digital Specialist, you'll manage Google Ad Words & Google Grants including activity tracking, keywords, monitor our social channels and implement digital marketing campaigns. The successful candidate will have knowledge of online trends and be open to learning new web practices. You will be responsible for Online Reputation Management (ORM) to support the success of 8 YMCA membership branches, YMCA Camp Potawotami, YMCA Child Care Services and the YMCA Youth Service Bureau.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support Y branches with digital marketing, online listings, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Online Reputation Management (ORM), and serve as a helpful resource for Y staff with all facets of online digital work.

  • Ensure a positive online presence/experience for users interfacing with the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne, by monitoring social channels, initiatives and cross-promoting across designated platforms.

  • Manage web based tools used for Human Resources, Marketing and Fund Development.

  • Field requests for and post all part-time job openings online using web-based recruiting software called JazzHR.

  • Write, edit and proofread online content, or edit videos as needed to optimize the online environment ensuring accuracy, welcoming style and tone.

  • Provide monthly reports on web analytics/usage, marketing and social media metrics/analytics; create and manage web-based surveys as requested.

  • Support the YMCA?s web site maintenance; development of new sections/sites; work with Web developer to maintain, upgrade functionality, scope and design.


  • Two years of related experience with social media, analytics, and trends including marketing tools, or a Bachelor?s degree in a related field (or a combination of both)

  • Working knowledge of Google Best Practices, SEO, Adobe Photo Shop and InDesign.

  • Previous experience with web content management, Drupal or capacity to learn.

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Creative but detail oriented, resourceful, self-starter who can also work with a team to complete multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.


  • Starting Salary Range: $35,000-$40,000
