Co-ops joining the Current team have opportunities to complete technical assignments in a variety of product areas and across a broad range of engineering and technical functions (New Product Introduction, Design Engineering, Application Engineering, Cost-out Engineering, and Innovation). Our program offers students the opportunity to gain experience and develop skills by working directly with engineering teams on projects that have a significant impact on the business. We have challenging opportunities for both co-ops and summer interns in several Lighting Product Lines including Halogen, Solid State Lighting (LED) and Fluorescent. The benefits of the co-op/intern experience extend beyond the valuable work assignments, competitive wages, and housing allowances. Students can participate on committees of their peers that offers opportunities to develop leadership skills, perform community service, interact and socialize with other students, and network with the leaders of the company. We also offer training courses to enhance our students' technical and professional skills. Students who excel in our Co-op/intern program are given the opportunity to interview for full time opportunities through our Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) or Operations Management Leadership Program (OMLP). EEDP and OMLP are 2-year programs committed to growing our entry level, high potential employees who possess technical excellence, business skills and GE values by accelerating their development through training and rotational assignments
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering. GPA of 3.0 or higher.
