Ally Compliance Analyst II- Auto Testing in Charlotte, North Carolina

Position Description

The Compliance Analyst II will support Compliance in the development, implementation and maintenance of an effective Compliance Monitoring Program framework that includes an internal control structure, monitoring, and reporting. This position will focus testing on Consumer Auto, Commercial Auto and Insurance. Will be responsible for development and execution of transactional and control testing in accordance with the Compliance Testing program. Will assist senior compliance staff in project work and test procedure development to support the compliance program. Work may involve analysis of moderate to complex problems and evaluations to determine appropriate solution(s).

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of testing scripts and methodology documentation that support execution of the testing procedures and attains the objectives of the Bank's Compliance Program

  • Executes predefined analysis techniques to a sample of data, events or transactions and captures results for communication to interested parties (compliance, line of business, auditors, examiners)

  • Analyzes exceptions/issues and uses judgement to make standard decisions, or escalates non-standard exceptions/issues

  • Serve as a resource in the implementation and execution of testing Compliance Controls.

  • Identify Compliance Controls in place at the line of business and assist senior compliance staff in developing comprehensive test plan to assess the adequacy of each control.

  • Execute Compliance Control testing to assess the controls design and effectiveness to mitigate compliance risk across all LOB's at Ally including Auto, Insurance, Mortgage, and Deposits.

  • Assist with the development of and independently execute transaction test scripts targeting regulatory requirements applicable to each LOB.

  • Create detailed desktop procedures or methodology documentation to provide testing guidance for less senior team members to execute testing.

  • Participate in discussions with Compliance business partners, Audit, Operational Risk, line of business Quality Control teams, and line of business management to communicate compliance testing scope and test plan. Review risks identified from testing.

  • Effectively communicate Compliance related exceptions to senior Compliance Staff and assist with determining if an issue requiring management attention is present.

  • Execute Issue Validation testing after LOB completed issue remediation in alignment with the Enterprise Issue Management Policy.

  • Participate in timely responses to regulatory exams and internal audits.

Qualifications

  • Successful candidates demonstrate solid written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and a desire to perform in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.

  • 2-3 years auditing / testing experience including experience documenting test results and workpapers and communicating test results.

  • 1-3 years of Compliance experience, with emphasis on Consumer Regulations including a working knowledge of applicable law and regulation requirements.

  • Financial services testing in Auto.

  • Ability to interpret and understand laws and regulations, identifying requirements and related controls and developing test plans and/or transaction test scripts.

  • Ability to learn new processes, systems and controls quickly with minimal training, adding value quickly.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word and Outlook.

  • Bachelors' degree in business or a related major preferred.

  • Attention to detail and superior written and oral communication skills with a proven ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to communicate test results and exceptions and assist with the risk quantification and root cause identification.

  • Works well in a team environment
