To meet this challenge, we implement best practices, provide general financial support, resolve queries, prepare reports and provide statistics. We also design policies and procedures that adhere to audit standards and conform to FASB and SEC guidance, as well as compliance with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley section 404.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking to complement our growing Global Intercompany Accounting team with a self-driven, well experienced, and highly motivated accountant to lead our new Intercompany Accounting team in Bucharest. The successful candidate will have direct people manager responsibility and report into our Sr. Intercompany Accounting manager based in Bratislava. He or she will be responsible for a well-balanced blend of senior operational accounting responsibilities, the daily management of the team, as well as certain project engagements.

The successful candidate will join an environment in which personal growth and skill development are key focus areas. He or she will immediately gain access to a broad range of senior Finance managers across the globe, be able to quickly build powerful networks across various organizations, and be in a position to influence and shape our processes and controls.

The team will cover Oracle and SAP responsibilities.

Examples of key responsibilities covered by the Intercompany Accounting team:

  • Intercompany cross charges processing

  • Intercompany settlements and FX monitoring

  • Monthly Intercompany clearing and exception monitoring

  • Intercompany loans

  • Commissionaire and services fees process ownership

  • Manages team responsible for accounting analysis within a business area

  • Reviews and approves business plans, accounting analysis and reporting conducted by team memberS

  • Directs team to achieve assignments using established guidelines, procedures and policies for accounting

  • Directs team and organization on compliance to government regulations and internal controls

  • Assists team members in the determination of the appropriate process, policies and/or procedures to be used

  • Responds to escalated internal customer account inquiries and issues

  • Builds relationships with internal business partners on issue resolution, and resolves issues involving cross-functional teams

Essential Requirements

  • An accounting qualification (CPA, CIMA, ACCA, or similar) or be close to qualification

  • A minimum of 10 years of working experience in Finance, of that at least 5 years in accounting

  • Professional English & well rounded communication skills

  • Experience with managing or coordinating team members
