I. JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to be the HR Business Partner (HRBP) for clients within the US Commercial organization. The HRBP is a key partner providing direction to leaders and employees and to drive the HR strategy within the business.

In this role, the HRBP will build and sustain relationships with all levels in the organization, effectively influence analysis and decision-making in the areas of leadership, talent management, development, talent acquisition, succession planning, change management, work force planning, organization development and design, performance management, employee engagement and relations, communications and all aspects of employment in the US.

The HRBP will collaborate with the HR Centers of Expertise (Compensation and Benefits, Leadership Development, Talent Acquisition, and HR Shared Services) to diagnose, develop and deliver solutions to support client groups. The person in this role should have proven experience understanding business concepts and aligning business needs with HR support and solutions to move the business ahead in a growing and changing environment.

II. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Builds relationships of trust, uses sound judgment in matters of confidentiality, provides candid feedback, drives change, takes appropriate risks and delivers results with integrity

Builds a clear view on the organization design and development needs and work with business leadership to execute.

Diagnoses, influences, facilitates and implements solutions using a consultative approach with management that will result in a positive impact on the culture to address business needs. Helps build capabilities for critical competencies, initiates, coordinates & supports change initiatives related to cultural transformation, leadership & management and builds KPIs to monitor Sanofi culture & performance.

Ensures acquisition, development and retention of talent for the present and future by building and monitoring staffing plans, working collaboratively with the Talent Acquisition team to differentiate our competitive proposition and ensure excellence in appointment process. Leverages Group development programs to maximize development of talent. Ensures we retain our key people, defining clear retention targets and selecting the right retention levers. Drives differentiation and appropriate compensation levels within perimeter to attract and retain best in class talents.

Drives talent management process execution & build solid succession plans. Identify and retain key talents, ensuring that compensation policy is aligned with strategy. Diagnoses talent needs and major gaps and build adequate solutions plan. Ensures adherence to employee relations practices and drives effective low performance management approaches. Partners with legal and the business on highly sensitive and complex employee relations issues making sound recommendations and decisions.

Partners with HR COEs and clients to implement key HR processes including compensation, talent management, performance management, leadership development and workforce planning that add value to internal clients and ultimately the external customer. Identifies potential roadblocks and opportunities and leverages HR centers of expertise (COEs) to provide input and leverage technology.

Ensures flawless execution of established human resources policies and procedures throughout the assigned client area.

III. MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university

8-10 years of progressive HR experience

Post-bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (e.g., Masters, MBA or equivalent) a plus

IV. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE

  • 8-10 years of progressive Human Resources experience

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is desirable

  • Experience in Commercial environment is desirable

  • Experience in definition and implementation of HR or business strategy
