job id-99720548 Description The Payroll Financial Analyst works in a team environment ensuring employed Physicians within the Health System payroll is timely and accurate; and all regulatory and organizational requirements regarding the payment of employee wages are met.The Payroll Financial Analyst will be responsible for the life cycle of employed physicians up to but not limited to processing physician new hire paperwork, pay rate changes, and terminations. The individual in this position will review and interpret the physician's contract and addendums.The Payroll Financial Analyst will be responsible for maintaining a master database to include but not limited to contract renewal dates; additional earnings physician is eligible, RVU payments, salary changes. The individual will process the additional earnings on a bi-weekly or semi-monthly processing based upon the employee.Payroll Financial Analyst coordinates the payroll activities of Saint Luke's Health System entities associated with employed physicians. Establish and communicates guidelines to adhere to the goals and objectives of the entities and their policies. Ensures timely and accurate payments of employee wages. Calculation of withholding taxes, and remittance of all deductions from earnings. Provide leadership and instruction to all payroll personnel. Assists in developing and monitoring payroll department functions, controls and procedures, related to employed physician payments. Acts as a resource to physicians, managers and leadership for payroll information and related hospital policies and procedures.This position maintains payroll-related accounts and is responsible for the reconciliation and accuracy of one or more accounts within a complex accounting system. This position also prepares various accounting papers, schedules, exhibits, and summaries.This position also researches and advises payroll staff concerning the accounting treatment of complex transactions and prepares materials for external or internal auditors. This position actively educates and provides superior customer service to the SLHS accounting teams on payroll operations and how this impacts bi-weekly, semi-monthly and monthly journal entries, payroll accrual reporting and cash funding documents/processes related to employee physicians.This position performs special projects as assigned by the CPP Manager and/or Disbursements Director.This position reports to the CPP Manager and works directly and in conjunction with SLHS accountants from various accounting departments.
