As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You’ll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You’ll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what’s being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you’ll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines

Understanding of architecture and design across all systems

Working proficiency in developmental toolsets

Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to

accomplish common goals

Proficiency in Java/J2ee with Integration Platform (Micro services, camel etc)

Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and

software improvement

The Securities Processing Data Distribution technology group is looking for a strong hands-on Java/Unix/Database developer with 3+ years experience. The candidate must be able to work under pressure while being responsible for the design, development, deployment, and support of the suite of Securities Processing Data Distribution micro services. The candidate must have experience with green field development. The candidate must be a team player, and also be able to work independently under tight deadlines. The candidate must be eager to learn and have the ability to quickly pickup new technologies. Strong communication is a must as the position requires interfacing with various user groups and other technology teams across the globe.

  • 3+ years programming with Java/J2EE

  • 3+ years programming with Oracle, DB2, Sybase or equivalent relational database

  • Strong understanding of the Spring Framework

  • Strong fundamental understanding of Object Oriented Programming

  • Strong fundamental understanding of data structures and algorithms

  • Knowledge and experience with RESTFul Services

  • Knowledge and experience with Apache Camel or equivalent Enterprise Integration Pattern frameworks.

  • Knowledge and experience working within a Unix/Linux Environment

  • Knowledge and experience working with messaging frameworks (MQ, TIBCO, etc)

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong problem solving skills


  • Domain knowledge within the Securities Processing / Financial Industry

  • Knowledge and experience building micro services.

  • Knowledge and experience building cloud native applications.

  • Knowledge and experience with Apache Kafka
